Water Jet Cutting
Water jets are able to cut complex shapes and parts in almost any material – from metal of all sorts, to stone, glass, ceramics, rubber and plastics.
Since water jet machines cut parts with no heat-affected zone, secondary finishing is typically unnecessary.
Because water jets put no lateral force and exert very little downward force on parts they are cutting, no elaborate fixturing provisions are required.
Our Dynamic Water jet with Active Tolerance Control produces more accurate parts at significantly higher cutting speeds than parts cut with a conventional water jet.
The Dynamic Water jet cutting system uses a newly-developed advanced motion system that incorporates unique mathematical cutting models, which control a small, articulated wrist that is attached to the cutting head.
The wrist allows the cutting head to tilt in any direction, compensating for the stream lag and taper experienced with conventional water jet cutting machines.
