ITEM’S TO CONSIDER WHEN SELECTING A POLYMER
- Chemical compatibility (oils, fuels, etc.)
- Physical characteristics (harder or softer materials)
- Environmental exposure (ozone resistance, etc.)
- Product life expectancy in the working environment.
BUDGETARY, PROJECT SCHEDULE AND QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES TO CONSIDER
- The quantity of parts to be produced annually.
- The number of cavities in the mold or die versus the per-piece cost.
- Custom parts can be produced in one of our domestic or cost-effective ISO 9001 certified offshore plants.

Form-In-Place
September 18th, 2009
Our form-in-place robots use the latest automation technology to dispense a defined gasket bead on virtually any work piece. Form-in-place dispensed gaskets are perfect for use in many aerospace, industrial, high technology, medical equipment and military applications.
Our CNC systems accurately dispense a variety of conductive and non-conductive materials. The RTV (room temperature vulcanization) or UV (Ultraviolet) cured gasket bead naturally adheres directly to the work piece. Gaskets requiring thin profiles, intricate shapes and / or changes in the Z-axis or elevation are easily dispensed by our robots.
Our dispensed form-in-place gaskets offer significant material cost savings when compared to conductive die cut gaskets. Since the form-in-place gaskets are dispensed directly on the work piece by the CNC robots, the material cost savings can be dramatic.
Form-in-place gaskets can be dispensed on intricate work pieces including those with changes in elevation. Our CNC robots were developed to dispense precise form-in-place gasket beads on even the most complex work pieces.
Send us your work pieces or let Western Rubber & Supply, Inc. provide you with a turn-key work piece and form-in-place gasket solution.

HiMag™ Surface Wave Absorbers -
HiMag™ Surface Wave Absorber products are thin, very highly loaded sheet stock, having high loss at microwave frequencies, while maintaining the desirable characteristics of elastomeric binders. Surface Wave Absorbers are the most heavily magnetically loaded absorber, designed to exhibit the highest loss, and intended to be applied to metal surfaces for traveling or surface wave attenuation. Surface Wave Absorbers attenuate traveling wave energy at frequencies from 1GHz to 20 GHz.
